■ Project Background
You've probably heard conversations like, "That person is 'Jiatama ga Ii'" or "We want to hire someone who is 'Jiatama ga Ii'."
But what does "Jiatama ga Ii" mean, and what kind of abilities does it refer to? By deliberately using the term "Jiatama" (literally "ground head"), it evokes a special, innate image that is not about the quantity of knowledge, but how does it differ from simply being "smart"? We asked experts in fields such as "recruitment," "examinations," and "education," as well as professionals with experience in professional firms, for its definition. What emerged were concepts such as "fundamental ability," "a foundational ability to succeed anywhere," and "the ability to think deeply."
