Yosuke OTONARIRepresentative Director
Otonari founded Howtelevision, Inc. in 2010.
He began his career at the Investment Banking Division of Barclays Capital Japan Ltd., where he was engaged in the bond offerings on behalf of financial institutions and non-financial corporations. He then moved to Advantage Partners Inc., an established private equity firm, and worked on the buyouts and minority investments in both private and public companies and provided management assistances to these companies.
He received a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Tokyo.
Shintaro SHIMIZUBoard Director
Shimizu joined Howtelevision, Inc. in 2020. After served as an Executive Officer and the head of President’s Office, Head of Treasury and Finance, Head of Human Resources, Head of Management Strategy Office, and Head of Corporate Division, he was appointed to a Director of the Board and CFO in April 2021.
He joined the Company from Ardian Japan Ltd., where he focused on fundraising and relationship management with Japanese institutional investors from 2018 to 2020. He dealt with broad private assets such as buyouts, secondary funds, private debts, infrastructure, and real estate.
From 2013 to 2018, he worked for PIMCO Japan Ltd. as an account manager and covered various investment products including credits, emerging market debts and absolute return strategies. From 2011 to 2013, he worked at the Investment Banking Division of UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd., and was engaged in origination and syndication of equity-related solutions including IPOs, public offerings, debt restructurings and etc.
He started his career at the Equity Research Division of Goldman Sachs Asset Management from 2005 where he focused on fundamental research and stock selection of Japanese companies.
He received a BA in Law from Sophia University.
Atsushi AKAIKEOutside Director
Mr. Akaike has been an Outside Director of Howtelevision, Inc. since May 2017. He is a Partner and the head of Japan of CVC Capital Partners, a prominent global private equity firm. Before joining CVC, he was a Senior Partner at Advantage Partners. Prior to CVC, he worked for Japan office of McKinsey & Company, where he was engaged in consulting of rebuilding management strategies and developing new business for the companies in semiconductor, chemicals, and electronics industries. He started his career in the US office of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He received a DPhil in Mining and Earth Systems Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, a MSc and a BEng in Earth Systems from the University of Tokyo.
Naoya OKUTANIOutside Director(Audit and Supervisory Committee Member)
Mr. Okutani joined Sumitomo Corporation in 1983. He was seconded to Mazda Motor of America, Inc., and served as deputy general manager of the Information Industry Business Department, Internet Business Department, Information and Communications Business Department, and Public Relations Department, as well as general manager of the Environmental CSR Department at Sumitomo Corporation Singapore. In 2015, he joined T-Gaia Co., Ltd., where he served as a senior executive officer and full-time auditor. He will serve as an outside director (full-time audit and supervisory committee member) at Howtelevision. from 2025. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Kyoto University.
Toshimitsu MORISHITAOutside Director(Audit and Supervisory Committee Member)
Mr. Morishita has worked at Asahi Audit Corporation (now Azsa LLC), Yusei Audit Corporation (now Taiyo LLC), Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC (now EY ShinNihon LLC), and the Tokyo Stock Exchange Self-Regulation Corporation (seconded), and has been an outside auditor for Howtelevision. since 2017 and an outside director (audit and supervisory committee member) since 2025. He is a certified public accountant.
Hisanori OGURAOutside Director(Audit and Supervisory Committee Member)
Mr. Oguri joined Toshiba Corporation, then worked at Minoru Takeda Law Office, Jones Day Foreign Law Joint Enterprise, and is now a partner at Uchida & Samejima Law Office. He has been an outside auditor for Howtelevision. since 2018, and an outside director (audit and supervisory committee member) since 2025. He is an attorney and patent attorney in Japan and the state of New York in the United States.
He graduated from Hitotsubashi University Law School and New York University School of Law (LL.M.).
Ryo NakawakiSenior Executive Officer
Nakawaki joined Sumitomo Realty & Development Co., Ltd. in 2013, and served as a principal at Boston Consulting Group (Japan) in 2016. He joined How Television Inc. in 2025 as Senior Executive Officer and COO. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tokyo.
Hiroshi TOGAWAExecutive Officer
Togawa worked at Recruit Co., Ltd. from 2002 to 2019 as sales manager, human resources manager, and Employment Future Research Institute manager. After working at Humanship Co., Ltd., he joined Howtelevision in 2023. He oversees sales and business development as the general manager of the career platform business. He graduated from the Faculty of Commerce at Kwansei Gakuin University.
Takafumi NAGASAKIExecutive Officer
Nagasaki joined USEN Corporation in 2014 and served as head of planning. He joined Howtelevision in 2021, where he oversees marketing and product areas as general manager of the career platform business. He graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University's School of Business.
Masashi NAKANOExecutive Officer
Nakano joined EY Strategy & Consulting Co., Ltd. After that, he promoted the launch of CVC (Colopl Next) and investment execution at Colopl, Inc. He then served as Director of the President's Office at Activ8, Inc., Executive Producer at DLE, Inc., and Co-CEO of Fincrease, Inc. In 2024, he joined Howtelevision, where he oversees M&A strategy as Director of Business Strategy. He graduated from Rikkyo University's Faculty of Law.
Toshihiko MIKAMIExecutive Officer
After working as a TV director, Mikami served as team leader for YouTube creator management at UUUM Co., Ltd. and as head of the department responsible for opening and managing new YouTube channels for celebrities and influencers. He then served as live streaming platform manager at DouYu Japan Co., Ltd. and SNS app business manager at Baidu Inc. In 2023, he joined Howtelevision. As general manager of the mond business, he oversees marketing, product development, and business operations.
