  • Yosuke OTONARIRepresentative Director/CEO

    Otonari founded Howtelevision, Inc. in 2010.
    He began his career at the Investment Banking Division of Barclays Capital Japan Ltd., where he was engaged in the bond offerings on behalf of financial institutions and non-financial corporations. He then moved to Advantage Partners Inc., an established private equity firm, and worked on the buyouts and minority investments in both private and public companies and provided management assistances to these companies.
    He received a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Tokyo.

  • Shintaro SHIMIZUBoard Director/CFO

    Shimizu joined Howtelevision, Inc. in 2020 and after served as an Executive Officer and the head of President’s Office, the Manager of Treasury and Finance, and the General Manager of Corporate Division, he was appointed to Board Director and CFO in April 2021.
    He joined the Company from Ardian Japan Ltd., where he focused on fundraising and relationship management with Japanese institutional investors from 2018 to 2020. He dealt with broad private assets such as buyouts, secondary funds, private debts, infrastructure, and real estate. From 2013 to 2018, he worked for PIMCO Japan Ltd. as an account manager and covered various investment products including credits, emerging market debts and absolute return strategies. From 2011 to 2013, he worked at the Investment Banking Division of UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd., and was engaged in origination and syndication of equity-related solutions including IPOs, public offerings, debt restructurings and etc. He started his career at the Equity Research Division of Goldman Sachs Asset Management from 2005 where he focused on fundamental research and stock selection of Japanese companies.
    He received a BA in Law from Sophia University.

  • Atsushi IKEUCHIBoard Director/COO

    Ikeuchi joined Howtelevision, Inc. in February 2019 and led the renewal of Liiga business and was promoted to the General Manager of Liiga Business Development in August.
    Subsequently, he headed the business development activities of both GaishiShukatsu.com and Liiga and was promoted to Executive Officer and COO/Head of Operations in 2021.
    As the General Manager of Business Developments, he led the business promotion of GaishiShukatsu.com and Liiga. Prior to Howtelevison, he worked for three venture companies including Speee, Inc. and was engaged in organizational expansion and human resource development as a manager.
    He received a BA Business Administration from Yokohama National University.

  • Atsushi AKAIKEOutside Director

    Mr. Akaike has been an Outside Director of Howtelevision, Inc. since May 2017. He is a Partner and the head of Japan of CVC Capital Partners, a prominent global private equity firm. Before joining CVC, he was a Senior Partner at Advantage Partners. Prior to CVC, he worked for Japan office of McKinsey & Company, where he was engaged in consulting of rebuilding management strategies and developing new business for the companies in semiconductor, chemicals, and electronics industries. He started his career in the US office of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
    He received a DPhil in Mining and Earth Systems Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, a MSc and a BEng in Earth Systems from the University of Tokyo.

  • Kotaro SASAKIExecutive Officer

    Sasaki joined Howtelevision, Inc. in July 2017 and has served as Executive Officer, General Manager of Liiga, Products, and GaishiShukatsu.com., Director, General Manager of the Strategic Project Promotion Office, General Manager of the Product Management Department, etc. Since July 2023, he has been the General Manager of the Mond business.
    Prior to Howtelevision, he was with Recruit Co., Ltd and engaged in BtoB product planning, development direction, and planning medium- to long-term strategy for Jalan, Hot Pepper Gourmet, and Hot Pepper Beauty. He was a project leader to develop of SALON BOARD, a beaty salon management system and also launched AirREGI, which has now grown to be the most widely used POS application in Japan.
    He graduated from Waseda University, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, majoring in Information Network.
