How Television's mission is to “Unleash the full potential of all humanity and change the world.”
Its origins lie in my own experience of failure. I founded the company in 2010 with the dream of building a successful youtube video service, but technical barriers and limited funding brought the business to a halt. In my despair, I returned to the job-hunting blog I had created during my student days.
Even after I stopped updating it, the blog continued to attract visitors. Seeing this, I recognized both the struggles students were facing and the untapped potential to address them. I decided to redefine the job-hunting process with a student-first mindset—breaking open the black box of career decisions and supporting young people in realizing their professional potential. This marked the birth of Gaishishukatsu.com, Japan’s first career platform designed with a truly user-first philosophy.
Through running this service, I came to believe that job hunting is far more than simply choosing a career path. “What are your strengths?” “What have you learned from your failures?”—by being immersed in countless questions and reflecting deeply, people are able to unlock their latent potential. I have witnessed these transformative, almost miraculous moments time and time again. Job hunting, in fact, represents the very front line of human potential being unleashed.
We wanted to share this miracle with the world. Out of this vision, mond was born—an anonymous Q&A platform where thoughtful questions and genuine answers bring people together and spark new forms of communication. mond is our bold challenge to restore the power of questions to the online world and unlock human potential in all aspects of life.
Our “user-first” philosophy goes far beyond simply pursuing convenience. We strive to be a true partner—walking alongside each individual through their struggles and challenges, and helping them unleash their full potential. With this commitment at our core, How Television will continue to create services that shape the future.
We look forward to sharing this journey with you.
